Payments: SEPA Transfers
Fiat deposits or withdrawals (SEPA) initiated from unsupported countries may be rejected or returned by banks or intermediaries before reaching LightBit’s banking partner.
A status shown by the sending bank (for example “completed”) may mean the transfer left the sender account, but it does not guarantee receipt by the beneficiary bank. LightBit can only credit deposits that are successfully received and reconciled by our banking partner.
- Sent ≠ Received (final acceptance occurs downstream).
- If funds never reach our banking partner, LightBit cannot credit the deposit.
If a transfer is rejected upstream, it is typically returned to the sender automatically. Return timelines are determined by the sending bank and any intermediaries.
- LightBit cannot accelerate bank returns or override bank-side decisions.
- Ask your bank for return confirmation and any available return reference/reason code.
Transfers can be screened by banks and payment intermediaries. Missing or mismatched details can cause delays, rejections, or returns.
- Sender name should match the verified LightBit account holder.
- Use the exact beneficiary details shown in your LightBit deposit instructions.
- Include any required reference/memo exactly as provided.
Certain transfer types may not be supported depending on partner configuration and your bank.
- Third-party transfers (sender is not the verified account holder) may be rejected.
- Some banks do not support required reference formats; ask your bank if unsure.
